Moravian Highlands in Leszno
On Saturday, 16 November, the Stanisław Grochowiak Library in Lešno, West Poland, welcomed guests from the Moravian Highlands: the programme of the visit of the delegation from the partner town, which since last year has been Žďár nad Sázavou, included the opening of an exhibition of Bohuslav Reynek's works, poetically entitled "Lord of Mood". Selected Reynek's prints and photographs, in which Daniel Reynek captured his father at work, were loaned by the Gallery of Fine Arts in Havlíčkův Brod; its director Aleš Veselý and his colleagues were among the distinguished guests of the afternoon. The opening was followed by a programme "Blood and Honey" by the renowned Jedlinský-Fischer Duo. Violin, accordion and vocals of both virtuosos told musical stories adapted by the duo and influenced by the idiom of Eastern European music. Take a peek at the opening and the concert hall in our gallery! Photos by Julia Józefiak.
